UO's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art opens registration for fall studio classes
EVENT: The University of Oregon's Jordan Schnitzer Museum
of Art is offering a premier season of art-making studio classes this fall
for adults and children.
DATE: Wednesdays, Oct. 6-Dec. 1
Saturdays, Oct. 9-Dec. 4
TIME: 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays
10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays

Art-Making Studio, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, 1430 Johnson Lane
BACKGROUND:
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is offering a premier season of studio
classes
this fall, prior to the museum's Jan. 23, 2005, grand reopening. Interested
participants
must register by Sept. 21 for any of three eight-week classes.
An introductory Chinese brush painting class for adults and teens will meet
for two
hours on Saturdays. The course begins Oct. 9 and costs $90.
Two after-school classes for children will meet Oct. 6 through Dec. 1. A class
for
children in grades one through six will focus on printmaking. A second class
for
children in grades six through nine will focus on hands-on art history. Each
after-school class will cost $85.

receive a 10 percent discount. Scholarships are available based on financial
eligibility.
Each class is limited to 12 participants.
