UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art welcomes four
new board members
EUGENE—The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at the University of Oregon
recently elected four new members to its board of directors, as well as named
the board’s 2004-5 executive committee.
New appointees to the twenty-six-member board include Yongsoo Huh, chief executive
officer of Sungsan Group in Seoul, Korea; Angel Jones, executive director
of library, recreation and cultural services in Eugene; Suzanne Storms Millis
of Portland; and Ginevra Ralph, founding director of the American Music Institute,
Oregon Festival of American Music in Eugene.
The 2004-05 board of directors executive committee includes Susie Papé,
president; Connie Huling, first vice president; Silva Sullivan, second vice
president; Mary Ann Barton of Portland, secretary; and Lee Michels, treasurer.
The new members were elected to serve three-year terms. Art museum board members
are expected to cultivate donors, contribute financially themselves and lead
and staff various committees like long range planning, exhibition/education
and collections.
