UO'S JORDAN SCHNITZER MUSEUM OF ART OFFERS FULL HOURS DURING SPRING BREAK

EUGENE-Looking for fun things to do during spring break? Check out the University of Oregon's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art. The museum will be open during it's regular schedule during the holiday.

"Spring break offers a fantastic opportunity for families to experience the new museum," explains museum director David Turner. "Visitors of all ages can explore the Interactive Discovery Gallery, experience the new exhibitions, socialize with friends, enjoy lunch from the café in the beautiful outdoor courtyard, and move through the new spaces at their own pace, finding whatever is most interesting to them. Plus, parking spaces around the campus are much easier to find."

The Schnitzer art museum is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. The Museum Store and Marché Museum Café are open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 8 p.m. The café and store are open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekends.

Museum admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors, 62 and older, and for high school and college students. UO students, faculty and staff members, children 13 and under, and museum members are admitted free. The museum offers pay-as-you-wish "MusEvenings!" every Wednesday and free general admission on the first Friday of each month.
