Art museum opens registration for winter studio classes
EUGENE—(Jan. 3, 2006)— Children and adults can learn to sculpt, create a
masterpiece after viewing an original Van Gogh painting and make their
own Valentine's Day cards in one of the winter studio art classes
offered at the University of Oregon's Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.
The classes include instruction in sculpture, painting, drawing,
ceramics and printmaking. The program also includes a week-long spring
break camp for children ages five to 15.
The registration deadline for winter studio classes is Jan. 23. The last
day to sign up for the spring break art camp is March 1. Early
registration is encouraged. Tuition includes supplies and materials.
Museum members receive a 10 percent tuition discount. Scholarships are
available based on financial eligibility.
