Project - Art After School with McCornack Elementary

Student Ages - 4th-5th grades
Program Length - 1-1.5 hours each
Activities - Japanese fish prints, Chinese calligraphy, Fish kites, Woodblock printing
Notes - Scholars had a wonderful time with this group. It was large but fun.
Project - Art After School with Edison Elementary
Scholar - Sari Gomez

Student Ages - 3rd - 5th grades
Program Length - 1-1.5 hours each
Activities - Hands-On Asian art & art history
Notes - It was an easy group with which to work and all pupils were highly engaged.
Project - Art After School with Washington Elementary
Scholar - Becky Tonkin

Student Ages - 3rd - 5th grades
Program Length - 1-1.5 hours each
Activities - Chinese calligraphy, Japanese fish prints, Fish Kites, and other Asian art
Notes - Most pupils were engaged, it was a small group so a good beginning group with which to learn about teaching art.
Project - Art During School with O'Hara Elementary
Scholar & Artist-in-Residence - Katherine Elisar
# of Visits - 8 or 9
# of Students - 288 (2 grades each x 16 pupils = 32 kids per grade x 9 grades total = 288 students)
Student Ages - K-8th grades
Program Length - 1 hour with K-6th grades & 1.5 hours with 7th & 8th grades
Activities - Everything from watercolor to drawing to sculpture and everything in between
Notes - Katherine was O'Hara's Artist-in-Residence so she worked with the entire school to make art. She was well received and covered numerous art lessons and art making techniques with a variety of ages.
Project - Creation of a CD-ROM based on China's Cultural Revolution, a traveling exhibition from the Burke Museum hosted at the Jacob's Gallery and presented in conjunction with the UOMA.

Audience - Lane County School Teachers, Burke Museum, & UOMA

CD-ROM's Functions - Includes images from the exhibition and the UOMA, discusses the exhibition's content, introduces teachers to the exhibition's resources, and links viewers to the UOMA and the Burke Museum
Notes - Joey created a CD-ROM to accompany teacher-training packets about this traveling exhibition. The CD is very three-dimensional and its content pertinent to the exhibition and to Social Studies curricula.
Project - Preparation for Art During School with Fox Hollow Elementary
Scholar - Beth Suryan
