UO MUSEUM OF ART ELECTS THREE NEW BOARD MEMBERS

EUGENE—The University of Oregon Museum of Art elected three new members to its board of directors, as well as named the board’s executive committee.

New additions to the twenty-five-member board are Leon Johnson, an artist and faculty member at the UO Department of Art; Cheryl Ford, community volunteer and art enthusiast from Roseburg; and James Walker, physician and map collector from Eugene.

The new 2003-04 board of directors executive committee includes: Susie Papé, president; Connie Huling, first vice president; Silva Sullivan, second vice president; Mary Ann Barton of Portland, secretary; and Lee Michels, treasurer.

The UO Museum of Art is scheduled to reopen October 2004 after completion of a major renovation and expansion project that will nearly double the size of the building.
