UO MUSEUM OF ART HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
EUGENE—Miriam A. Jordan has joined the University of Oregon
Museum of Art as executive assistant to director David Turner.
She comes to the art museum at a pivotal time, as the staff prepares to reopen
the new UO Museum of Art to the public in October 2004 after completion of
a major renovation and expansion project that will double the size of the
building.
Jordan brings 10 years of experience as an executive assistant at Lane Community
College, where she worked in the Office of Instruction and Student Services.
In addition to a strong background in higher education, Jordan has an extensive
history of community arts involvement. A former board member of the Lane Arts
Council and former chair of the Jacobs Gallery Steering Committee, Jordan
is a member of the Eugene Mayor’s Art Show planning team, and a member
of the Emerald Empire Art Association. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Arts and Humanities from Linfield College.
