UO MUSEUM OF ART DIRECTOR JURIES NEA-SPONSORED COMPETITION
David Turner,
M.A. 1974, Art History, and current director of the University of Oregon (UO)
Museum of Art, recently served as a juror for a National Endowment for the
Arts (NEA)-sponsored architect competition to design a new school in Colorado
Springs, CO. The public school, already totally funded, will be a new campus
on 80 acres of land that will serve pre-school children and grades K-12. The
school will be one of only a few such comprehensive campuses in the country.
The nationwide competition was narrowed down to four finalists who each received
a stipend to further develop models and plans for the campus.
